Amedeo of Austria

Born Amedeo Marie Joseph Carl Pierre Philippe Paola Marcus d’Aviano, Archduke of Austria.

Named for his paternal great-grandfathers Amedeo, Duca d’Aosta and Emperor Karl I of Austria; his godparents; the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and Saint Marco d’Aviano, as per tradition of the Catholic Habsburg family.  

He was granted the title „Prince of Belgium“ by his uncle, King Baudouin of the Belgians in 1991.

Son of Lorenz Archduke of Austria-Este (1955) and Astrid Princess of Belgium (1962).

Born: Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium 21. Feb 1986

Godparents: Prince Philippe of Belgium (maternal uncle) and  Princess (later Queen) Paola of Belgium (maternal grandmother).

Married: Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome 5. Jul 2014 Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein (b. Rome 9. Sep 1987), daughter of Nobile Ettore Rosboch von Wolkenstein and Contessa Lilia de Smecchia
