  2. (in contravention of the Royal Marriages Act) Great Cumberland Place, London 2. May 1831 Lady Cecilia Gore (c.1785-1873), daughter of Arthur Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran (1734-1809) and his third wife Elizabeth Underwood. She was created Duchess of Inverness in 1840.
