George IV. of the United Kingdom

Born George Augustus Frederick Prince of Great Britain and Ireland. Styled Prince of Wales in 1762. Served as Prince Regent from 1811 until 1820 during his father’s relaps into insanity (possibly resulting from porphyria). Succeeded his father as King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and as King of Hanover in 1820.

Son of George III. King of Great Britain and Ireland  (since 1801 King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland) (1738-1820) and his wife Sophie Charlotte, Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744-1818)
