Mar 1871 John Campbell, Marquess of Lorne, who succeeded as 9th Duke of Argyll in 1900 (1845-1914), son of George Campbell, 8th Duke of Argyll (1823-1900) and his first wife Lady Elizabeth Leweson-Gower (1824-1878), daughter of the 2nd Duke of Sutherland.
