Patricia of Connaught

Princess Victoria Patricia Helena Elizabeth of Connaught, called “Patsy” by her family. She renounced her royal titles on her wedding day and assumed the style “Lady Patricia Ramsay”.

Daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (1850-1942) and Luise Margarethe, Princess of Prussia (1860-1917).

Married: Westminster Abbey, London 27. Feb 1919 Hon. Alexander Ramsay (1881-1972), her father’s aide de damp, younger son of John Ramsay, 13th Earl of Dalhousie (1847-1887) and Lady Ida Bennet (1857-1887), daughter of the 6th Earl of Tankerville (1810-1899)


Died: Ribsden Holt, Windlesham, Surrey 12. Jan 1974

Buried: Royal Burial Ground, Frogmore, Windsor
