Georg V of Hanover

Born Prince George Frederick Alexander Charles Ernest Augustus of Great Britain and Ireland. Succeeded his father as King of Hanover, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, and Duke of Cumberland in 1851. The kingdom was annexed by Prussia in 1866. Georg V went into exile but never abdicated.

Son of Ernst August I King of Hanover (1771-1851) and Friederike, Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1778-1841)
