Son of August Wilhelm, Prince of Prussia (1887-1949) and his wife Alexandra Viktoria, Princess of Schleswig-Holstein (1887-1957)

Married: (morg.) Dresden 19. Dec 1938 Armgard Weygand (Mainz 22.Aug 1912 - Wiesbaden 3. Dec 2001), daughter of Major Friedrich Weygand and his wife Karla Franziska Oheim. She had been married previously to Werner Rosendorff whom she divorced in 1933.
