Pyotr Petrovich of Russia

Pyotr Petrovich Tsarevich of Russia, named for his father

Son of Pyotr I Tsar (later Emperor) of All Russia (1672-1725) by his second wife Marta Skawronska, who became Empress Yekaterina I in 1725 (1684-1727)

Born: Saint Petersburg 29. Oct 1715

Died: Saint Petersburg 25. Apr 1719

Buried: Alexander Nevsky Monastery, Saint Petersburg.

Note: His corpse was transferred to another church within the Alexander Nevsky Monastery in 1723. This might be the explanation why another child of Pyotr I named Pyotr Petrovich, who allegedly died in 1723, is mentioned in some biographies.
